Al-Turath University demonstrated the effectiveness of its applied academic model, as the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Prof. Dr. Qais Al-Abbasi, praised the outstanding academic and practical performance of Clinical Psychology students during his visit to the training unit for first- and second-year students.
The University said this recognition with the vision led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, which emphasizes continuous practical training during the study period as a key driver for building future-ready competencies and enhancing students’ preparedness for professional psychological practice.
Al-Turath highlighted that the strong commitment and engagement demonstrated by students reflect effective academic leadership led by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Naz Badrkhan Abdullah, whose distinguished administrative approach, along with the dedicated efforts of faculty members, has created a dynamic and high-performing learning environment.
Al-Turath reviewed that during the visit, Prof. Dr. Natiq Al-Kubaisi delivered an interactive session with second-year students on psychological interview techniques, combining theoretical insights with practical application to enhance communication and analytical skills.
The University emphasized that first-year students’ training in designing psychological questionnaires, supervised by Dr. Abbas Hussein Al-Ogaili, reflects early-stage academic preparation that effectively integrates theoretical foundations with applied learning.
Al-Turath concluded that such initiatives highlight its commitment to prepare qualified psychology professionals equipped with both scientific knowledge and human-centered competencies, capable of contributing meaningfully to society through practice-driven education.
