Strategic Goals of Al-Turath University
The strategic goals of Al-Turath University stem from its vision and mission, reflecting its commitment to developing the private higher education system in Iraq in accordance with international standards. These goals are integrated within a cohesive institutional framework that connects education, research, and community service.
First Goal — Preparing Human Resources
Preparing human resources from the University's graduates and qualifying them scientifically, culturally, and professionally to supply the public, private, and mixed sectors, through academic programs consistent with international standards and the requirements of the local and regional labor market.
Second Goal — Developing Curricula and Specializations
Developing and introducing modern scientific specializations and curricula to keep pace with global developments, in light of the University's available capabilities and to serve the labor market. This includes periodic curriculum review, launching new programs in emerging specializations, and academic accreditation for existing programs.
Third Goal — Improving the Quality of Educational Output
Working to improve the quality of the educational output by establishing modern research centers, contributing to the enrichment and development of scientific research across various specializations. This includes developing laboratories and libraries, enhancing practical training, and activating quality assurance in all academic processes.
Fourth Goal — International Academic Partnerships
Building a genuine and strong partnership with international academic institutions and reputable universities to pave the way for scientific and academic cooperation for the University, enabling it to take its rightful place among its peers. This includes student exchange agreements, joint research projects, and dual education programs.
Fifth Goal — Scientific Research Development
Investing in the potential of faculty members and students in theoretical and applied scientific research and studies, through a system RIS — Researcher Information System which documents 1,586 scientific publications with 13,700 citations and an h-index of 49 for the University.
Sixth Goal — Community Service
Organizing and adopting a number of various scientific and cultural activities, and supporting and organizing international conferences, seminars, and training courses, for the University to occupy its distinguished position among its peers at the local and international levels.
