1. Introduction

Welcome to the official website of Al-Turath University. This document governs the terms and conditions that regulate your use of the Site https://uoturath.edu.iq/ and all its subdomains (colleges, libraries, electronic services, etc.). By using the Site, you agree to these terms unconditionally.

2. Definitions

  • “the University”: Refers to Al-Turath University, established in 1988, and headquartered in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq.
  • “Site”: Refers to uoturath.edu.iq and all its subdomains.
  • “User”: Any person who accesses the Site, whether a student, affiliate, or visitor.
  • “Content”: All texts, images, videos, documents, logos, and data published on the Site.

All content on the Site — including the logo, name, designs, images, academic publications, research, and curricula — is the exclusive property of Al-Turath University or its licensed owners, and is protected by Iraqi and international copyright laws. Any commercial use or republication without written permission constitutes an infringement of intellectual property and exposes the violator to legal accountability.

6. User Accounts and Privacy

When registering an account on the Student Portal or the Electronic Services System, the user must:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and not sharing them with others.
  • Immediately informing the University of any unauthorized use of their account.
  • Providing accurate and updated data.

Personal data is processed in accordance with privacy policy.

7. External Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites (such as scientific journals, academic partners, social media platforms). the University is not responsible for the content or policies of those websites.

8. Disclaimer

The content of the website is provided “as is”. Although the University makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information (especially regarding admissions, fees, and the academic calendar), it does not guarantee that it is free from errors. In the event of a conflict between information published on the website and an official decision issued by the University administration or the Ministry of Higher Education, the official sealed document shall be the authoritative reference.

9. Limitation of Liability

Al-Turath University bears no responsibility for:

  • Temporary technical malfunctions or service interruptions resulting from maintenance work or circumstances beyond its control.

11. Governing Law

These terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Iraq, particularly the Law of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Copyright Protection Law No. 3 of 1971 and its amendments, and the Cybercrime Law. Iraqi courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the use of the website.
