Iraqi National English Language Test
Exams include Arabic, English and Computer.
Exams start from 24/3/2025.

INELT – INPT
The test is based on the CEFR system of English language levels.
Minimum requirements depending on the type of study:
- Higher Diploma (Scientific/Humanities): 50 (A1)
- Master's (Humanities except English specialties): 50 (A1)
- Ph.D. (Humanities except English specialties): 55 (A2)
- Master's (Scientific, such as Engineering, Management, Applied Science): 60 (B1)
- Ph.D. (scientific, such as engineering & applied sciences): 65 (B2)
- Master's (medical specialties such as medicine, dentistry & pharmacy): 70 (C1)
- Ph.D. (Medical Specialties & English): 75 (C2)
Ph.D. (Medical Specialties and English): 75 (C2)
Exam days: (Monday & Wednesday) of every week or as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research.
Fees: 30,000 IQR.
Fees of reattempt: 20,000 IQR.
Iraqi National English Language Test Regulations
- The designated location for the test is the Continuing Education Center at Al-Turath University.
- The test lasts for only one hour.
- Booking is registered electronically through the electronic link inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- Applicants must visit the Continuing Education Center to confirm their bookings within a period not exceeding 72 hours from the test date. If the booking is not confirmed, it will be considered canceled.
- It is strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones, and any tools or materials related to the test.
- Applicants for the test must present the unified national ID card or civil status ID when attending the test.
Certificate Validity: two years from the date of the test.

- MS Word 2016: (Using the Program - Creating a Document - Selection and Editing - Text Formatting - Paragraph Formatting - Preparing the Document for Printing - Spell Check and Printing)
- MS PowerPoint 2016: (Main Program Interface - Design Methods - Slide Types - Adding and Duplicating Slides - Types of Aids - Hiding Slides - Final Design Presentation of Slide Contents)
- MS Excel 2016: (Introduction to Spreadsheet Software - Familiarization with the Program Interface - Editing - Functions - Formatting - Settings - Printing)
- Internet and Email: (Internet - Networks - World Wide Web - Browser Settings - Search Engines - Information and Communication Technology Applications - Email - Creating a Text Message - Computer Security - Introduction to Artificial Intelligence)

- Number of questions for the computer test: 40 questions.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes.
- Advance booking is done via the link inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- The tests are centralized and fixed with an annual calendar on the website of the Department of Research and Development.
- The exam is every day (Monday and Thursday) or according to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Research and Development.
Passing Marks
- Master's for Humanities Specializations: 50 marks.
- PhD for Humanities Specializations: 55 marks.
- Master's for Scientific Specializations: 60 marks.
- PhD for Scientific Specializations: 65 marks (excluding Computer Science specialization).
- Master's in Computer Science: 70 marks.
- PhD in Computer Science: 75 marks.
Certificate Validity: two years from the date of the test.
First attempt: 30,000 Iraqi Dinars.
Subsequent attempts (in case of failure): 20,000 Iraqi Dinars.

- Grammar and Morphology.
- Linguistic Errors and Spelling.
- Linguistic Culture.

- Number of questions for the Arabic language test: 60 questions.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes.
- Advance booking is done via the link inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- The tests are centralized and fixed with an annual calendar on the website of the Department of Research and Development.
- The exam is held every Sunday and Tuesday, or according to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Research and Development.
Passing Marks
- Master's for all specializations: 50 degrees.
- PhD for all specializations: 50 degrees.
- Master's, Arabic Language specialization: 60 degrees.
- PhD, Arabic Language specialization: 70 degrees.
Certificate Validity: two years from the date of the test.
First attempt: 30,000 Iraqi Dinars.
Subsequent attempts (in case of failure): 20,000 Iraqi Dinars.

📢 Important notice for applicants for the National Test
🔹 Please do not apply for the test if you are unsure of your ability to attend.
🔹 Must Attendance and payment of fees At least one hour before the exam.
🔹 Bring an original official document Mandatory (passport, unified national ID, driver's license), and no photocopied document will be accepted.
⚠️ Warning against cheating:
The student will be deprived of applying for postgraduate studies if any of the following violations are proven:
✅ Talking During the exam.
✅ Looking at another student's screen.
✅ Impersonation.
✅ Using any unauthorized means, such as paper scraps.
