In an exceptional cultural scene reflecting a deep belief in the value of art and its role in building social awareness and preserving national identity, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Turath University, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, visited the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Visual Artists Association, accompanied by the President of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Mr. Jabbar Joudi, and a distinguished group of pioneers of the Iraqi visual arts movement and Iraqi artists.
Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili toured the exhibited artworks, which reflected the richness of the Iraqi visual arts experience and the diversity of its creative schools, as well as highlighting the artists' explanations of the themes of their paintings and the human, national, and aesthetic messages they carry, embodying Iraq's memory, history, civilization, and future aspirations.
Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili praised the high artistic level of participating in works, emphasizing that art represents one of the most important tools for building civilizational awareness and consolidating cultural identity, as well as reviewing the Iraqi artist has always been, and continues to be, a witness to the major transformations experienced by the nation and an honest voice expressing the pulse of society and its hopes.
In a distinguished cultural initiative reflecting his continuous support for creators and cultural institutions, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili announced the acquisition of all the paintings participating in the exhibition, in appreciation of the artists, their creative contributions, and their artistic journey, this step received wide appreciation from the cultural and artistic community, as it represents a message of loyalty to Iraqi art and confidence in the ability of its creators to produce beauty and strengthen the presence of national culture.
