Al-Turath University demonstrated an integrated medical education model that combines clinical knowledge with human-centered care, as the Continuing Education Center, in collaboration with the Anesthesia Techniques Department, organized a specialized lectur entitled (Psychological Care After Surgery) attended by faculty members and academic staff.
The University reviewed that this initiative with the vision led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, which emphasizes a comprehensive approach to medical education that extends beyond clinical aspects to include psychological and behavioral dimensions of patient care.
Al-Turath highlighted that the lecture was delivered by Dr. Hummam Issam Al-Tamimi, who presented an in-depth scientific analysis of patients’ psychological conditions before and after surgery, addressing anxiety, fear of anesthesia, concerns about surgical risks, as well as post-operative pain and emotional challenges during recovery.
The University distinguished that the session witnessed strong academic engagement, with participating faculty members contributing valuable insights that enriched the discussion and strengthened the connection between theoretical knowledge and clinical application.
Al-Turath emphasized that such initiatives contribute to preparing healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of patient needs, integrating scientific competence with human awareness to enhance the quality of healthcare and align with modern trends in medical education and clinical training.
