In a distinctive humanitarian initiative that expresses the spirit of giving and social responsibility, Al-Turath University, under the direct patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Uqaili, launched a support and care program targeting children with Down syndrome, orphans, and the underprivileged, and the program included more than 60 children of various ages.

Therapeutic services were provided to the children at the hospital of the College of Dentistry at Al-Turath University, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Tahani Al-Sandouk, and in the presence of a number of professors and specialist doctors who were keen to provide high-quality treatment, within a safe and equipped environment that considers the children's needs and contributes to alleviating their suffering.

The University also provided meals within the campus for all children and their companions, in a warm humanitarian atmosphere aimed at fostering a sense of comfort and belonging, and bringing them moments of joy and care.
The supervising staff took the children on a tour of the University's facilities to introduce them to its various departments and to give them an entertaining and educational experience at the same time, which contributed to putting smiles on their faces and bringing joy to their hearts.
The initiative was not limited to treatment, hospitality, and tours, but also included material and moral support, and the purchase of new clothes and gifts for each child, in a step aimed at enhancing the humanitarian aspect of the initiative and conveying a clear message that the University always stands by deserving segments of society.

In a gesture of appreciation that reflects the University's support for its students, Mr. Ali Al-Uqaili directed that student Youssef be exempted from tuition fees after learning about his efforts in serving these children and supervising them in the dormitories, which is an example of giving and altruism.
This initiative affirms Al-Turath University's commitment to its social and humanitarian mission, promoting the values of solidarity and support for vulnerable groups, and solidifying the educational institution's role in community service alongside its academic role.
