In cooperation with the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, the Continuing Education Center at Al-Turath University organized a scientific lecture on Saturday titled "From Saving to Investment", presented by Professor Dr. Shihab Al-Din Hamad Al-Nuaimi, and with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.
The lecture discussed the scientific distinction between the concepts of saving and investment, clarifying the role of each in building financial stability for individuals and society. The lecturer also reviewed the percentages of population groups participating in stock market investment, including individuals, employees, and retirees, with an analysis of each group's behavior and investment motives.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi also addressed the types of risks associated with investing in stocks, explaining the mechanisms for dealing with them and the importance of financial awareness and making investment decisions based on knowledge and analysis, which contributes to enhancing the economic culture among students and those interested in financial matters.
This lecture comes as part of a series of scientific activities that Al-Turath University is keen to organize with the aim of linking academic knowledge to economic reality and enhancing financial awareness in the university community.
