In cooperation with Al-Turath University andNational Security ServiceThe Continuing Education Center at the university organized an awareness seminar titled “Financial Fraud” on Monday, 8/12, attended by a number of faculty members and a large group of students.
The seminar provided a detailed explanation of modern electronic payment methods, highlighting common financial fraud techniques and the potential misuse of these methods by illegitimate entities to steal electronic payment card data and use it for illegal purchases.
The lecturer also reviewed preventive measures that help reduce the risks of electronic fraud and outlined the proper course of action to follow if exposed to this type of theft, emphasizing the importance of digital security awareness in protecting individuals and institutions.
This seminar comes as part of AL-Turath University’s efforts to enhance digital culture and cybersecurity, link academic knowledge with practical reality, and contribute to protecting the university community from growing electronic challenges.
