Head of the Accounting Department at Al-Turath University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adel Sobhi Abdul Qader Al-Basha participated in the First International and Second National Scientific Conference hosted by the University of Mosul College of Administration and Economics in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq Mosul Branch.
Al-Turath University reviewed that this academic participation was conducted within the conference theme Prospects for Developing Accounting and Financial Practices in an Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Environment to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Financial Institutions, within this context the Head of the Accounting Department presented a specialized research paper entitled A Proposed System for Building Internal Control Systems in Private Universities in Light of the Rapid Development of Artificial Intelligence.
The university added that the research highlighted contemporary models for enhancing internal control systems in line with accelerating digital transformation strengthening institutional governance and achieving integration between accounting requirements and intelligent technologies while addressing cybersecurity requirements and sustainable institutional performance
It is significant to mention that the participation reflects Al-Turath University’s active presence in specialized scientific forums and its commitment to supporting applied research that advances university and financial performance while reinforcing the linkage between higher education digital transformation and sustainable development.
