On the occasion of World Heritage Day, Al-Turath University reaffirms its forward-looking vision that goes beyond the traditional perception of heritage as a static legacy, presenting it instead as a dynamic body of knowledge that actively engages with the present and contributes to shaping the future within an academic environment that integrates authenticity with innovation.
The University reviewed that this approach with the vision led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, which focuses on transforming heritage into an active component of academic identity and cultural awareness by linking it with modern education and scientific practice.
The University has worked to integrate the concept of Al-Turath within its educational and architectural structure, where “Al-Turath Palace” serves as a living example of this integration, as the university space transforms into a platform that combines cultural memory and educational function, allowing students to interact with Al-Turath as part of their daily experience.
The University highlighted that its academic programs and cultural activities further reinforce this approach by strengthening students’ connection to Iraqi heritage and enabling them to apply it within contemporary contexts that serve society and support development.
Al-Turath concluded that this model reflects its commitment to build an educational framework where heritage becomes a foundation for innovation, preparing a generation capable of transforming the past into a driving force for the future.
