During a visit to the University of Technology meeting the Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami and considering ongoing efforts to enhance academic partnerships and activate twinning programs among Iraqi universities, the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Turath University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadhil reviewed mechanisms for implementing the clauses of the twinning memorandum signed between the two institutions.
Al-Turath University highlighted that the meeting addresses several key areas of collaboration, including joint applied research projects, the organization of shared seminars and workshops, student competitions and the utilization of the University of Technology’s specialized laboratories for advanced practical training, both sides agreed on establishing a clear timeline to implement these initiatives and achieve tangible academic outcomes that reinforce cooperation between the two universities.
Al-Turath demonstrated that the visit also included a tour of the specialized laboratories of the College of Chemical Engineering, where both parties agreed to organize field visits for fourth-year students from the Department of Oil and Gas Refining Engineering at Al-Turath University, as well as enhancing their technical knowledge and strengthening the practical aspects of their academic experience.
