The College of Engineering at Al-Turath University inked a scientific twinning agreement with its counterpart at the University of Baghdad, this agreement is in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to strengthen scientific partnerships and expand academic cooperation to support integration between public and private universities and raise the quality of higher education in Iraq.
Al-Turath University added that the agreement was signed by the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Turath University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Fadhil Abd Al-Ali and the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, as well as reviewing a joint academic program that includes the exchange of expertise between faculty members and the organization of workshops, seminars, and conferences, as well as activating student activities of an innovative, cultural, and scientific nature, contributing to build an integrated educational system that transcends the traditional boundaries of university work.
Al-Turath University highlighted that this collaboration is the result of in-depth academic discussions between the two institutions, stemming from a shared vision to develop scientific research and build a university environment based on interaction and innovation, enhancing the position of Iraqi universities on the regional and international education map.
Al-Turath University also reviewed that this initiative is a qualitative step that contributes to support global trends toward sustainable development, reflecting the commitment of educational institutions to their pivotal role in building knowledge societies, the initiative also enhances the quality of the educational process by adopting advanced methods that contribute to empower students academically and professionally, it also opens broad horizons for cooperation and integration between various stakeholders, fostering a culture of partnership and enhancing a spirit of shared responsibility, these efforts are part of an ongoing effort to make a tangible impact on long-term development paths.It is worth to be mentioned that the inking of the agreement was attended by a number of academic leaders from both sides.
