Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili and under the supervision of the President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Faiq Mohammed Sarhan, Al-Turath University organized the University Table Tennis Championship through the Student Activities Department in an event that reflected the integration of sports with the academic mission and holistic student development.

The university highlighted that the championship witnessed distinguished attendance including the Former Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ahmed Riyadh and the participation of World Champion Player, Ms. Najla Imad, alongside broad student involvement, eighteen students from various colleges and academic departments competed in an atmosphere marked by discipline and high sportsmanship

Al-Turath demonstrated that the competition concluded with student, Mr. Ali Hussein from the College of Science Department of Forensic Evidence securing first place while student, Mr. Sajad Hussein achieved second place, reflecting strong preparation commitment and competitive spirit among participants.

For his part, the President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Faiq Mohammed Sarhan reviewed that the event aligns with the university’s vision of embedding sports activities as a fundamental component of student development, fostering positive competition discipline teamwork and balanced personality building, as well as emphasizing the university’s continued commitment to organizing high-quality activities that enhance student engagement refine skills and support comprehensive growth.
