Al-Turath University demonstrated its ability to integrate academic excellence with cultural engagement by achieving a distinguished milestone, winning the Creativity and Excellence Shield at the Classical Arabic Poetry Festival organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, Student Activities Department, in Thi-Qar, hosted by National University of Science and Technology and Al-Ain Iraqi University, with participation from 48 public and private universities.
The University reviewed this achievement with the vision led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, which emphasizes the development of well-rounded students by supporting literary and cultural talents alongside scientific disciplines.
Al-Turath highlighted that the university was represented by academic and student participants, including Ali Al-Amara from the Student Activities Department, alongside student Yusuf Muthanna Rifaat from the College of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department, and student Tariq Thamer Abbas from the College of Engineering, Oil and Gas Refining Engineering Department, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement in cultural platforms{{dot}} The University highlighted that the festival provided a competitive environment that showcased the cultural vitality of Iraqi universities, where Al-Turath stood out through both poetic performance and event hosting, demonstrating strong communication and artistic capabilities among its students.
Al-Turath avowed that this achievement reinforces its commitment to a balanced academic model that integrates science and culture, preparing students capable of excellence across diverse fields and strengthening its institutional presence at the national level.
