Al-Turath University & Federal Service Council Open New Path for Community Service & National Capacity Development

Al-Turath University received an official delegation from the Federal Service Council during a visit aimed at discussing prospects for institutional cooperation and strengthening coordination between the two sides to support career development and build effective bridges of cooperation between academic institutions and government bodies. The meeting was attended by the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Dr. Haider, and the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Omar Saad Ahmed, along with a number of academics and officials at the University.

Dr. Al-Qazwini indicated that the anticipated agreement will focus on the training and development of government employees and enhancing their professional capacities, as well as opening discussions on mechanisms for supporting the private sector in providing employment opportunities for Iraqi graduates, the cooperation will also include organizing scientific conferences and academic events within Iraq to encourage knowledge exchange and support institutional development.

Dr. Al-Qazwini also expressed his admiration for the University’s infrastructure and educational environment, highlighting the architectural identity of its buildings that reflect the Iraqi legacy character, as well as expressing hope to see the University continue to grow and develop in the coming years.

For his part, the faculty member at Al-Turath University, Dr. Ziyad Al-Arrar reviewed that the University, under the direction of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Ali Al-Ogaili, continuously seeks to expand its societal role by cooperating with institutions that serve the Iraqi community, as well as adding that this meeting represents the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between the University and the Federal Service Council, affirming Al-Turath University’s readiness to provide scientific, research, humanitarian, and social support in ways that contribute to serving Iraqi society and enhancing development opportunities.

For his part, Dr. Ziyad Al-Arar, a lecturer at Al-Turath University, explained that the University, under the guidance of its Board of Trustees Chairman, Professor Ali Al-Uqaili, continuously seeks to expand its community role through cooperation with institutions concerned with serving Iraqi society. He added that this meeting represents a preliminary step for a new phase of joint work between the University and the Federal Service Council, affirming Al-Turath University's readiness to provide scientific, research, and humanitarian support to contribute to community service and enhance development opportunities in Iraq.
