Al-Turath University delivered a specialized academic perspective on the path toward clean energy transition as the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Department of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technologies, organized a lecture entitled (The Development of Solar Panels for Clean Energy Production), the session addressed both the technical and economic dimensions of solar energy technologies within an applied academic framework.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Nasser Hussein, who reviewed the evolution of solar panel manufacturing methods, their internal components, and operational mechanisms within electricity generation systems, as well as providing a balanced analysis of the advantages of solar panel technology in electrical power production alongside the challenges related to cost, efficiency, and long-term operational sustainability.
Al-Turath University highlighted that the scientific discussion emphasized understanding solar panels as an integrated engineering system where materials science, electrical engineering, and energy management intersect, thereby enhancing students’ awareness of alternative energy solutions in response to the growing demand for cleaner power sources.
The University affirmed that the attendance and academic contributions of three faculty members enriched the discussion by adding applied insights, reflecting a culture of scholarly dialogue and collaborative knowledge exchange that transforms the lecture into a platform for collective thinking rather than a mere presentation.
