The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, organized today, Saturday, February 21, 2026, a scientific lecture in Hall No. (1) in the Ali Al-Ukaili building. Professor Ahmed Abdul Karim presented the lecture under the title “An Innovative Method for Recording Student Attendance”, where he reviewed an advanced electronic system for recording attendance.
The innovative system discussed a quick mechanism for electronically recording student attendance, with the student's photo and name displayed directly on the smart board. The system also allows for automatically identifying absent students and calculating individual absence rates for each student, in addition to systematically recording scores for quizzes and monthly exams.
A group of professors interested in developing academic performance from various scientific departments attended the lecture, where attendees discussed the mechanisms of applying the system and its benefits in improving the accuracy of academic records and saving time.
