Al-Turath University placed scientific research at the center of its institutional decision-making as it moved beyond symbolic cooperation toward establishing a productive academic partnership through a cooperation agreement with Al-Karkh University of Science aimed at strengthening scholarly output deepening academic exchange and reinforcing a cohesive national higher education landscape.

The University clarified that this step was undertaken under the patronage and strategic vision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili whose approach emphasizes building effective partnerships between public and private universities as a pathway to advancing the scientific environment consolidating shared expertise and translating institutional experience into applied academic impact in line with the orientations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Al-Turath University explained that the agreement opens multiple avenues of cooperation led by strengthening pathways for scientific publication in international indexing platforms including Scopus alongside organizing specialized conferences and academic symposia and exchanging expertise in accreditation files quality frameworks and the analytical reading of local evaluation standards with a focus on institutional meaning and long-term academic impact rather than procedural compliance.
The University confirmed that the cooperation framework also includes academic pathways enabling faculty members from Al-Karkh University of Science to contribute to teaching activities at Al-Turath University thereby enriching the educational experience and supporting the exchange of academic expertise, as well as the agreement emphasizes the optimal utilization of scientific laboratories for student training in a manner that enhances professional readiness and strengthens the connection between theoretical knowledge and applied practice.
Al-Turath University demonstrated that the agreement incorporates the activation of continuing education programs and quality practices serving both institutions and contributing to the broader scientific and educational development of the country through a partnership model based on integration rather than parallel operation.

The University concluded by affirming that the agreement was signed on behalf of Al-Turath University by the President of Al-Turath University Prof. Dr. Jaafar Jaber Jawad as an institutional step rooted in the University’s history since its establishment in 1988 and investing in the transformation that became clearly evident from 2017 onward through partnerships that expand opportunities for research development and academic integration.
