Performance Roadmap Not Numerical Reading, Al-Turath University Reconstructs Its Institutional Path Via Analytical Vision

Al‑Al-Turath University launched from a conscious institutional reading of the 2025 national evaluation outcomes treating them as a diagnostic resource for performance improvement rather than figures for circulation within a pathway that links quality with governance professional readiness and the capacity to transform indicators into sustainable educational and research impact.

Within this context the University organized an expanded specialized workshop that delivered an analytical reading of the outcomes and identified areas of treatment and development targeting heads of academic departments and specialized staff in quality assurance units in alignment with the Ministry’s direction toward consolidating cohesive accreditation systems that safeguard institutional pathways and build academic trust.

The University said that the discussions focused on activating institutional and program accreditation requirements and linking them to the systematic construction of program and course descriptions in accordance with approved models while strengthening the applied dimension of learning outcomes The workshop also addressed the research trajectory from the perspective of its cumulative role in consolidating the University’s competitive presence and opening more mature channels for scholarly engagement and international openness within a balanced institutional vision.

The University affirmed that President of Al‑Al-Turath University Prof. Dr. Jaafar Jaber Jawad emphasized that the value of any evaluation lies in its ability to drive institutions toward self-review and executable decision-making noting that since its establishment in 1988 Al-Turath University has accumulated institutional experience that enhanced its readiness to deepen the transformation that became clearly evident from 2017 onward.

The Scientific Assistant of Al‑Al-Turath University Prof. Dr. Omar Saad Ahmed reviewed that the current phase requires unifying pathways across all departments alongside regulating documentation and models and embedding quality as a daily working language rather than a seasonal response thereby ensuring sustainable improvement.

 

For his part, the Scientific Advisor Prof. Dr. Farqad Talib clarified the difference between superficial tracking of indicators and the construction of an internal system capable of transforming them into genuine development tools confirming that the University is advancing toward a conscious and responsible culture of self-assessment that precedes any external entitlement and strengthens the credibility of its institutional trajectory.

The University further indicated that among the key themes raised during the workshop was the emphasis on the importance of the support provided by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al‑Ogaili as an institutional lever that ensures decision stability and provides the necessary framework to unify efforts and activate corrective measures within clear parameters of responsibility and commitment.

 

The University also clarified that Dr. Sinan Thair highlighted that the support of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees constitutes a decisive factor in empowering quality units and academic departments to move from diagnosis to implementation and in building an institutional culture that views development as a continuous pathway rather than a fragmented procedure.

The University concluded that the adopted applied treatments represent a practical roadmap for aligning academic and administrative performance enhancing institutional readiness and building a competitive presence grounded in meaning impact and continuity.
