Al-Turath University approached (SIR) indicators as an evidence-based measurement tool that clarifies its position within the global research landscape, rather than as a headline number, according to the available results, the University remains listed at approximately 9,753, within the fourth quartile (Q4), a standing that provides a clear institutional picture of progress areas, particularly regarding research quality.
The University demonstrated this stability as a critical diagnostic moment that enables a shift from describing the status to redesigning development pathways by improving research output quality, strengthening publication performance, and building a more integrated research environment aligned with knowledge priorities and applied relevance.
It is significant to mention that the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, emphasized that the University treats such indicators as a roadmap rather than a final verdict, as well as reviewing that the next phase will focus on establishing a cumulative research ecosystem through stronger support, updated publication policies, expanded scientific partnerships, and a targeted approach toward impactful research and systematic improvement.
Al-Turath University reaffirmed that the spirit of such rankings is built on quality, consistency, and impact elements achieved through sustained work rather than messaging making this indicator a starting point for structured, long-term steps that strengthen the University’s research profile over time.
