As part of its commitment to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in alignment with the vision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili on supporting developmental initiatives, the Continuing Education Center at Al-Turath University organized a specialized training workshop aimed at enhancing the capacities of educational staff in the fields of environmental education and school health, this initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to promote educational quality and develop academic competencies.
The workshop in which held under the supervision of the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Prof. Dr. Wasim Ali Hassan, in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Education and School Health at the Ministry of Education, and in partnership with the Swedish Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy reviewed with heads of environmental and school health units, school garden coordinators, as well as principals of Al-Farah Model Schools from the general directorates of education in Baghdad (Karkh and Rusafa).
The Continuing Education Center Hall at Al-Turath University hosted this distinguished academic event, which featured a specialized lecture by Dr. Rasha Muhannad addressed behavioral and educational approaches for engaging with students from Al-Farah schools and explored effective methods for integrating them into society.
The workshop was attended by expert from the Office of the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for Al-Farah Model Schools, Eng. Jamal Bilal highlighted the government’s strong support for educational and humanitarian initiatives, especially those launched by forward-looking institutions such as Al-Turath University.
