Under the slogan of enhancing scientific cooperation between Iraq and Iran, Al-Turath University announced on launching the activities of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week in the holy city of Karbala.Al-Turath University highlighted that the activities witnessed a remarkable presence of senior officials, most notably the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Hussein Simaei Saraf, a number of university presidents and officials from Iraqi Higher Education.

For his part, Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed the importance of the second edition of the “Iraqi-Iranian Science Week,” which represents an opportunity to enhance scientific cooperation between Iraqi and Iranian universities in several fields, including cultural and scientific exchange, implementing joint research projects, developing scholarships for students and improving the level of university education.

For its part, Al-Turath University emphasized in its active participation during this week the importance of academic cooperation between Iraqi and Iranian universities, which opens a new horizon for its faculty members and students to benefit from advanced academic programs and exchange scientific expertise

Al-Turath University expressed its role in developing higher education and enhancing international cooperation in the field of scientific research in a way that serves Iraq's aspirations in the academic and technological field

It is worth to be mentioned that the participation is considered an important step towards enhancing the pioneering role of Al-Turath University in the field of scientific research and higher education at the regional level, which contributes in achieving Iraq's future vision in the field of sustainable development and scientific progress, especially with the participation of more than a hundred universities from both countries.
