During a participation in the conference organized by the European Society for Translation, Research and Development and hosted by UVT University in the Republic of Romania Al-Turath University reviewed that it was represented by the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Khalid Rohan Al-Kubaisi, who participated as a viewer in the conference and a member of the Ph.D. discussion committee for European Union students.
Al-Turath reviewed that the conference was organized to bring researchers together from all over the world, as well as Ph.D. students to exchange knowledge and research in the fields of translation and academic research, as well as the conference included two practical workshops that focused on modern topics in the fields of translation and artificial intelligence.
The university highlighted that the conference delivered first workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence in the European Commission: Machine Translation and AI-Based Multilingual Services”, on the role of modern technology in improving translation processes and expanding the scope of language services and the second workshop entitled “Translation as a Practice of Adaptation”, on addressing how translators adapt to the emerging challenges in this field at the international level.
It is worth to be mentioned that this event represents a great opportunity to enhance academic cooperation between universities and global research institutions and confirms the role of Al-Turath University in supporting knowledge exchange and developing scientific research in the field of translation.
