As part of his ongoing efforts to enhance Al-Turath University's position as a leading educational institution, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaily, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, signed an important agreement to establish an advanced Cybersecurity Academy. This took place during his participation in the Global Security Conference held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, under the patronage of the Emir of the State of Qatar. The conference was attended by a distinguished group of senior officials, defense and interior ministers from Arab and European countries, providing a platform for sharing expertise and insights on information security.

Mr. Al-Ogaily's participation came upon an official invitation from "Qiyas" Foundation, a leading institution in the field of cybersecurity, where he represented Iraq's private sector. During the conference, he visited the largest Cybersecurity Academy in the Middle East and the world, a highly regarded institution in this field.

Following this visit, an agreement was reached between Al-Turath University and the relevant institutions to establish a specialized Cybersecurity Center and Academy within the university campus. The academy will feature the latest technologies and advanced equipment to train security leaders, enhancing the university's role as a pioneering center for training experts in this critical field.

Through this initiative, Al-Turath University aims to provide an exceptional educational environment in cybersecurity, contributing to the training of specialized security personnel in protecting digital systems and strengthening its role in achieving digital security in Iraq and the region.
