Al-Turath University hosts the sixteenth annual and fifth international scientific conference with wide governmental and academic participation.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the supervision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Ali Al-Ugaili, Al-Turath University held its sixteenth scientific conference under the slogan "The Role of Iraqi Educational Institutions in Facing Global Challenges."

In the presence of representatives of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, and an elite group of university presidents and government officials. The President of Al-Turath University, Dr. Jaafar Jabbar Jawad, affirmed in his speech during the conference that this institution, with its ancient history, distinguished outcomes, and significant global research footprint, which has contributed to its topping major international rankings, is keen on providing academic spaces and a solid scientific environment for students, diligently striving for digital transformation and generative artificial intelligence, and moving forward towards a creative digital environment to achieve comprehensive sustainable development.

He added that the unlimited support from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Ali Al-Ugaili, contributed to the University's launch towards internationalism, keeping pace with developments in university education fields, and enhancing prospects for cooperation and openness with regional and international universities to achieve comprehensive scientific advancement, effectively contribute to the country's prosperity, and fulfill the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

The representative of the President of the Republic, Dr. Ali Al-Shukri, praised Al-Turath University's pioneering role in achieving a qualitative leap in private university education pathways and catching up with public education in terms of curriculum quality and providing a suitable scientific environment for students.

The conference also featured other speeches that expressed the urgent need for such scientific conferences, which provide a fertile environment for proposing solutions to global challenges and for utilizing their outcomes and recommendations to create an important roadmap for the foundations that achieve high quality in university education and supply the Iraqi market with solid competencies to achieve comprehensive development in the country.

The President of the University honored the participants in the conference with Al-Turath University shield in appreciation of their active role in supporting the educational and scientific process in Iraq.
