Al-Turath University College of Dentistry Annual Community Service Initiative
- Date June 2, 2023
Each year, Al-Turath University’s College of Dentistry collaborates with local NGOs and health organizations to offer a community dental clinic that provides free treatments to local residents. Under expert supervision by experienced faculty, 4th- and 5th-year students volunteer their time to perform preventive and restorative dental procedures, ensuring patients receive high-quality, no-cost care for essential dental needs.
This initiative, conducted in partnership with community organizations, not only increases access to healthcare for underserved populations but also provides students with invaluable hands-on experience in a clinical setting. By engaging students in volunteer-based healthcare services, Al-Turath University actively collaborates with external partners to address community health needs, supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and fostering a strong culture of social responsibility and practical learning. Through this program, TU reinforces its dedication to health, education, and community service.
