Department of Medical Device Technology Engineering
The Medical Device Technology Engineering Department is concerned with studying and developing devices and technologies used in the medical field, as it combines engineering knowledge and medical sciences to design and develop modern and advanced medical devices. The department aims at train students to understand the requirements and needs of the medical field, and to apply engineering principles in the design and development of medical devices and systems, in a way that meets the needs of patients and contributes to improve the quality of health care. The department’s programs include the study of basic engineering subjects such as electricity, electronics, and mechanics, as well as related subjects with medical sciences such as biology, biomedicine and nuclear medicine. The program also includes the study of medical applications of computer technologies, medical images, and other assistive medical devices, practical programs and laboratories equipped with modern technologies allow students the opportunity for practical training and application of theoretical concepts in practice partnerships with hospitals and medical companies also provide opportunities for students to interact with professionals in the field and participate in research and development projects of graduating students from this department equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in the medical device and medical technology industry, whether in design and development or in maintenance and support of medical devices in hospitals and centers other medical.
