Al-Turath University Hosts 16th Annual & 5th International Scientific Conference with Wide Governmental & Academic Participation
Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the Chairman of Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ugaili and during Al-Turath University’s 16th scientific conference entitled “The Role of Iraqi Educational Institutions in Facing Global Challenges”, President of Al-Turath University, Dr. Jaafar Jaber Jawad said.
Dr. Jaafar confirmed that this ancient institution, with its history, distinguished outputs and important imprints on the level of global research, which contributed to its topping the most prominent international ranking, is keen on securing academic spaces and a solid scientific environment for students and actively seeks digital transformation and generative artificial intelligence, as well as moving towards a creative digital environment in order to achieve a comprehensive sustainable development.
Dr. Jaafar added that the unlimited support from the Chairman of Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ugaili, contributed in moving the university towards internationalism, keeping pace with developments in the fields of university education and enhancing the prospects for cooperation and openness to regional and international universities to achieve a comprehensive scientific renaissance and contribute effectively to the prosperity of the country and realize the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
The University’s President reviewed that the conference witnessed delivering speeches that expressed the urgent need for these scientific conferences, which constitute a fertile environment for presenting solutions to confront global challenges and investing in their outputs and recommendations to create an important road map for the foundations that achieve high quality in university education and meet the needs of the Iraqi market with solid competencies to achieve comprehensive renaissance in the country.
Dr. Jaafar honored the participants in the conference with Al-Turath University’s shield as an appreciation of their active role in supporting the educational and scientific process in Iraq.
For his part, representative of the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Ali Al-Shukri praised the pioneering role of Al-Turath University in achieving a qualitative breakthrough in private university education fields and catching up with government education in terms of the quality of curricula and providing the appropriate scientific environment for students.
It is worth to be mentioned that the conference was attended by representatives of the Presidents of the Republic of Iraq, Ministers, a number of University Presidents and official members of the Government.
