student support Grants
The financial support center was established at TUC in 2017 to help low-income students and university employees who in need of subsidies or financial support. Also, the center actively contributes supporting other community activities. The center contains multiple programs in different areas based on a plan provides by the college board to support mainly its students who have financial problems which could prevent them from registering at TUC or finishing their degree .
Free admission program
This program is designed to provide financial and academic support for students who are experiencing a financial crisis that prevent them from being part of TU community. The program includes one-year free tuition fees, mentoring, and academic support. 170 students were included in the program in 2020, 320 students in 2021, 240 in 2022, and 270 in 2023. 94% of the students who were included in the program have successfully finished their degree, this percentage is above the expected plan for success for the college which was 90%.

TU created a committee including three professors to meet the applicants and study their applications. The application starts from 12 of June to 12 of November. Partially covered admission program
This program was created to help students who are unable to fully pay their tuitions by covering 50% of their tuition fees. The students will have the option to split the rest of their tuition over multiple payments or even postponed to the next year. The number of students who were covered by this program in 2020 is 203, 2021 215, 2022 230 and in 2023 243 students.

Terrorism Victims program
TU offers 50% off of the tuition fess for the students who have any of their parents victim of terrorism actions in Iraq. The students have to provide legit evidence supported by a government official. In 2020, TU covered 200 students with this program, 230 in 2021, 212 in 2022, and 165 in 2023.
Students Allowance Program
As a part of TU community services, this program was initiated to offer financial support for TU low-income students and the students in the surrounding local communities. It provides grants (zero-interest loans), monthly salaries, legal services, free access to the university facilities and vouchers to buy books from the TU library. 60% of grant recipients will be low-income students from the local community. The program targets student who their families income is below the average to help them finish their degree toward graduation. 31 students profited from the program in 2020, 50 in 2021, 65 in 2022, and 103 in 2023.
Since TU believes in gender equality, The TU board of trustees has decided to dedicate 50% of the recipients to be female students. This is one step of TU plan’s to promote diversity around the campus, and hence, spread the sprit of love and peace.

TU Women’s Scholarship
This program includes full tuition coverage for the whole period of their study for low-income females who want to join TU community toward their graduation. This program has been started in 2022 and included 12 female students in the college of dentistry. TU started this program to enforce women community in TU. This program is not limited for only Iraqi students.

Food allowance program
This program targeted mainly helps TU students and workers who full below the average level of low income to have free access to food provided by the cafeteria including lunch, dinner, or beverages based on food stipends. In addition, surrounding community low-income families have a share of 20% of the provided vouchers. TU provides each semester 50 food voucher including 10 meals each.
