Under the direction and patronage of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ali Al-Ogaili, and in line with his vision that places responsibility toward society as a natural extension of the University's academic mission, Al-Turath University marked the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad PBUH through a humanitarian initiative that included the distribution of more than 1,500 food baskets to families and people in need, moving the occasion beyond ceremonial observance toward direct community action that embodies compassion, solidarity, and giving while creating a tangible university presence within the surrounding community.
The University provided baskets containing essential food and household supplies that support the daily needs of beneficiary groups, while the distribution process was coordinated with local organizing committees to strengthen access to those in need and enhance the practical value of the initiative, allowing the number distributed to represent more than a numerical outcome and instead reflect the University's capacity to organize broad community response connected with food security, household resilience, solidarity, and shared social responsibility.
Al-Turath University reviewed that the initiative extends beyond its immediate impact by giving Al-Turath University a more deeply rooted presence within its community, as this form of engagement reflects the University's capacity to respond to real needs and translate its academic and humanitarian values into tangible institutional practice that combines service to people with stronger social solidarity and a more effective relationship with the surrounding environment.
